Hey everyone,

I’m a BSc Computer Science graduate. After completing my degree, I did a networking course in Bangalore (CCNA-related). Once I finished the course, I started applying for jobs and actively searched for around 2 months.

Due to some personal issues, I had to come back to Kerala and took a short break (around 2–3 months) from job hunting. After that, I restarted applying — but now I’m in a very confused situation.

The problem is, I’m not really interested in the networking field anymore. I don’t feel motivated to build a career in it, even though that’s what I trained for. On top of that, my family is putting pressure on me because the institute had promised placement support after the course. Now they expect me to get into networking since I already invested time and money in it.

I feel stuck. I don’t know whether I should force myself into networking just because I studied it, or shift to another IT field — but I’m not even sure which direction to choose.

Has anyone else gone through something similar? How did you figure out your path? I’d really appreciate honest advice on what I should do next.

Thanks in advance 🙏
