How to deal with performance anxiety?

I always feel so so nervous before auditions or performances, especially now. On Friday, I will be auditioning to sing at my high school graduation. If I get selected, EVERYONE will hear me sing. I’ll be singing Symphony by Zara Larsson. I have the notes and range and I sound good, but my placement feels a bit off right now because my voice is on the fuller side compared to this song which is on the brighter side. I’m just really scared I won’t do good, and im scared to showcase my voice as much as I dream to.

I need to calm down. I’d appreciate any wise word of advice..

Is there anyone else learning Swedish without living in Sweden?

Hi! I‘m a new learner to the Swedish language. I live in the US. I am learning Swedish because I’m interested in the culture and language, I want to be able to consume Swedish media, I want to be a polyglot (Swedish more similar to English, which makes progress faster), and a desire to travel (and possibly move in the future many many years ahead) to Sweden. I just think this language is very beautiful and pleasant to listen to, and I am enjoying learning it so far.

Is there anyone else who is learning Swedish without living in Sweden? All the language learning content I watched are from people who have moved to Sweden, or from people who have Swedish family members.

I’d love to hear your experiences!

Learning a less-spoken language (on a global scale)

Has anyone else here learned a language that is considered less useful in your country? Do you recommend it? How do you maintain it?

I am an American who would like to learn Swedish. However, it’s not considered useful here, and I don’t know any Swedes. My motives for learning the language is because I am interested in Swedish language and culture, it is faster to progress since it is more similar to English (I would like to become a polyglot long term), and I personally find the language very interesting and pleasant to listen to.

I’d appreciate any input!

EDIT: Sorry I worded the title poorly! I’ve been trying to find a way to word this properly. I don’t mean endangered languages but languages that are popular only in a specific country but lack speakers anywhere else, if that makes sense.

INFJs- do you act extroverted with certain people?

I have a question for my fellow INFJs out there. Do you ever notice that you feel more like an extrovert around certain groups or individuals? I am an ambivert but leaning largely towards the introverted side. I have noticed that I feel SUPER DUPER extroverted around my sister and my mom's side of the family, especially my aunts cousins. They all think I'm extroverted, but that's really not the case. If you'd ask anyone in school, even my dearest and closest friends, they'd describe me as very introverted or reserved.

I also noticed that around kids, I feel the same way. I lose a lot of my reservedness. I guess this is normal for a lot of different reasons, some being that kids generally require more energy, are less judgemental, etc.

I'd like to hear your thoughts!

Hello! I will be skipping my senior prom to go on a trip after school with my sister to NYC! I decided not to attend senior prom just because I don't think it is worth the money. I attended junior prom last year. Although it was fun, I still think I could have had more fun elsewhere. I live pretty close to NYC (40 minutes by train), so I've been to NYC many many times before.

I want this trip to be just as fun and memorable as senior prom. Could anyone recommend me some fun places to go or fun things to do?

Hi everyone! I am about to attend college in the fall as an International Studies major with a concentration of Diplomacy. I would love to hear your general thoughts on your college experience with this major, such as if you liked it, your classes, opportunities to gain experience, and if you have a word of advice for me as I enter college. I'd like to gain more insights about this major from a college student or a IS/IR graduate. Thank you for your time!
