Question on Preserving Dice
Hello, I bought 60 dice a few days ago and I'm concerned that the image on the dice will quicky fall off after a few uses. I need help about how to preserve it correctly.
- Does this need preserving? I'm pretty sure its just applied stickers and there's not really anything stopping damage applied to the dice. I provided a closeup photo in case someone notices some protection I don't.
- If it does need preserving, how should I go about it? I live in a humid climate so I heard I shouldn't use any sprays. I also think I'd need to use something water-based as this seems like it could be washed off if it was something stronger.
- I was going to do liquid dips with liquitex pouring medium but have concerns about pooling at the bottom when I dry it which would ruin the weight distribution and make it roll unnaturally.
- I was told I didn't need to pay for pouring mediums and could use some simple mod podge. I'm not sure of the process of this or if it differs but would consider it.
- I just don't know how to apply it evenly on all surfaces and would like to hear how others balance it out correctly. I'll even consider sanding it down but think it would make it very blurry although I've heard very fine sanding can avoid that.
I'm worried about making the shape unnatural and being considered weighted dice or just bad dice. I read a couple posts about the different ways to do it but would love to hear feedback directly. Any feedback would be helpful so thank you in advance.
