Could Garth be…?
Could Garth be Emily’s son, Oliver? Oliver was born before Gilead so the age would make sense. Emily also returned to Gilead to fight from within after fleeing and reuniting with Oliver and Annie in Canada. Maybe he decided to follow his mom? Maybe the anger of knowing everything they did to his mother and knowing his mother never gave up fighting to destroy Gilead made him join Mayday and fight it from within as well? Maybe something happened to Annie and he was captured?
The resemblance between him and Emily is also quite similar. Especially their eyes.
