I’m majoring in chemistry and either sociology or legal studies pre-law. Planning to get a phd postgrad and then work in patent law. Maybe a combined PhD/JD program or get law school paid by a firm.

I’ve been offered admission into Northwestern for base financial aid of somewhere around 40k and Howard University with the presidential scholarship. My family has around 50k in college savings/funds and my parents are willing to contribute some to tuition if necessary.

Which of these would be more worth it considering long term goals in postgraduate acceptance rates and work opportunities?
