Which of these mics should I use to record vocals?
I'm recording a song for a friend for us to put in to a songwriters competition. I wanted to get others opinion on the best mic to use out of the selection I have. I may do takes with multiple and see what I like the best, but wanted to have a jumping off point. The choices I have are
Shure Beta 58
Sennheiser 441
Sennheiser 421
Neumann TLM170
AKG 460B w/ CK8 shotgun capsule
Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
