Just realized it has been 10 years exactly since I was invited to Nodojiman.

Has anyone else ever tried?

Any English Learners?

Hello,

I'm an English teacher, specialising in teaching English to speakers of other languages. I was wondering if people hire online teachers for language classes there. Or if I want to work there, how should I go about applying?

Any information would be greatly appreciated as my family is facing crisis right now and I'm trying to figure out what I can do to salvage the situation.

JazakAllah khair in advance.

I'm fascinated by this little device I randomly discovered while browsing, now I'm super curious if it's worth buying or not. Main questions are...

  1. Do the buttons not stop working after a few months of use? Seeing as it's completely manual.

  2. How difficult is it to navigate the book library in this? Like in kindle you just swipe swipe swipe x.x

  3. Are there options to bookmark?

  4. Can we change the text size or background colour? Would it be good for someone who cannot read fine print and gets headaches from bright lights?

  5. Is pdf supported?

  6. Would you recommend 3 or 4 and why

  7. Are there any other readers you would suggest? Not kindle as I already have an old gen kindle and hate the limitations.

Thanks so much for your time and hope I'm able to get the answer I'm looking for ^^

The peak of animation at that point. Nailed every detail. The sheer immense lot of colour usage, the background design, every drop of rain, every puddle, every moving umbrella... Still remains on of the most beautifully animated movies till date.

I found his work originally in a book called Ink Heart by Cornelia Funke, back in 8th grade. Each chapter of the book had a little snippet from another book that would add to the beauty of the chapter. Which is where quietly hiding away, was Shel Silverstein. After that, I tried desperately to find his books. However, back then online shopping was not a thing, books were only found in libraries or bookshops, which my city had aplenty for educational books, but none for storybooks. Many years later I finally found 'Where the Sidewalk Ends'. I have since been on a mission to let more people know about this wonderful author, his quirky poems, his subtle wisdom and the laughter he brings.

Above is a bookmark I made of my favourite poem by him.

Help me Save my Father

Hello, my father who had already had two heart attacks a decade ago, collapsed again. The local hospital messed up his case and he ended up with paralysis in his right half of the body. As someone who had been a beloved teacher and an active and caring father and grandfather, it is heartbreaking to see him lying in bed helplessly. The hospital we rushed him to in the capital, Max, is amazing and helped a lot, however the bills have stacked up and we're struggling to keep up. I've borrowed from friends, while already being in a major debt because of a previous unavoidable situation which has yet to be paid off and there is a limit to how much they can help as everyone has life happening. I will attach the estimate the hospital gave. The money is in INR. He ended up staying for over two weeks, we had to bring him home for now because we couldn't afford to keep paying the hospital for now. He might need to be taken back depending on how his condition goes. For now, we still have to pay the borrowed money back. Please help me pay off the medical bills as on my own I cannot provide the care he so badly needs. I deeply and sincerely hope I can get some help here. My father's family has not even bothered to check up on him, much less help with any expenses. I'm a single mother, raising my daughter alone with my father being the father figure for her. She is devastated as she fears she'll lose the only father she has ever known. My society is not one to help out in time of need, we have just the Almighty and some friends to depend on now. Please share this with people who could help, any help at all is a big help right now. Even shares on social media story or post could help reach this to people who could potentially help.
