LET US PICK WEIGHT CLASSES ONLINE FOR UFC 6 RANKED PLAY

WE DO NOT WANT this random weight class every 30 minutes thing again. It sucks.

Let us play the fighters we want to play, when we want to play them. It's one of the main things that stops me for playing longer in UFC 5. I play for 30 minutes, I see the new weight classes are a bunch that I don't feel like playing, I get off.

UFC 3 allowed us to pick our weight classes, PLEASE let us do the same.

Their excuse was that they want the leader boards to accurately portray who the real best players are, that is, over multiple weight divisions.

At the end of the day, who cares. Fun should trump all. If someone becomes number 1 just using a few different fighters that is completely fine. I could not care less, and I believe most players feel a similar way.

Hated it at first, but UFC 6 might become the best MMA game of all time.

It's not perfect, they need to fix some of the jankiness, glitches, and damage (too many flash knockouts in my opinion).

But the new fighter uniqueness feature for all the fighters is actually incredible.

Anyone that says this is just UFC 5 is crazy. This is the biggest jump we've had since UFC 2 to UFC 3.

The worst part about it is that grappling is still identical. If you play for the grappling, you'll be disappointed.

There is a learning curve. If you play this like you play UFC 5, you are going to have a horrible time. You are rewarded for playing like the fighter would fight in real life, and the fact that they have actually made that work, and it's not just some gimmick, is pretty insane to me.

I say it might become the best MMA game of all time because the potential is there. If they have captured the uniqueness of all ranked fighters in every division, that will be honestly mind-blowing, and they deserve serious credit.

I'm debating whether I should purchase the Ultimate Edition, I just wish they'd tell us what fighters we get, and what the 2 game modes are.

Not gonna make this a long post, there's enough of those, but after playing UFC 6, my overall thoughts are pretty simple.

THIS GAME NEEDS MORE TIME IN DEVELOPMENT.

There is genuinely good features of the game. The new fighter uniqueness stuff is great and the best new feature by far imo.

With alot of the new features though, a lot of jank has been added as well, and it needs serious refining.

The new damage system is all over the place as well.

I honestly see the vision, but the game will NOT be ready for June in this state.

There is potential here. They are gonna have to do some work to iron out glitches and balance the game (in terms of damage, stamina, etc.)

Overall I would say, in terms of striking (which seems to be where most of the focus has gone), this is the biggest change we've had since the jump from UFC 2 to UFC 3.

UFC 6 almost feels like a mix of UFC 5 and UFC 2 put together in my opinion.

Flow state is unnecessary, but if they want to include it, they definitely gotta remove all the visuals that come with it.

Visuals are probably the best in terms of models/graphics, etc. we've had. The lighting isn't bad, but I wouldn't mind a few different lighting options.

Fighter uniqueness is the strongest part of the game. I really like this. However, due to alot of new animations, a lot more jank has also came with it. If they actually capture this level of fighter uniqueness for every fighter, I'll be genuinely shocked, it's actually pretty awesome.

Damage needs work across the board. I'd say it's a little too high right now. I love having more consequences and higher damage, but with the system being a bit janky, I think it needs to come down a little.

Impacts. Everything feels nice to land. Definitely more satisfying.

Ragdolls. Not terrible, you're gonna get some weird moments for sure, but I prefer it overall.

Head movement. It's different, I don't mind how it feels though.

Controls. Are different. Definitely got to retrain the muscle memory in certain areas.

Overall, I'm happy it does feel new. But it definitely needs work. I think there is a lot of potential here.

If you got any questions about specific areas of the game, feel free to ask.
