Whelp, red "Electrical SystemMalfunction" got me this morning...

Hey guys,

I got the red "Electrical System Malfunction" this morning as I was pulling out of the drive to take the kiddo to school. Luckily it was on the road and not a dead stop in the driveway so I could take my truck, but ... man! I stopped behind a parked car to let the traffic go when the dash just blew up with errors and finished with a red electrical system warning, car was already stopped as I was waiting and that's where she stayed until the tow came.

I was getting constant TPMS errors on almost every startup, and the occasional yellow system warning, but I thought it was just the 12v battery (that I've yet to replace... been very lazy about it!) but I guess it was more of an early warning sign that something larger was to come.

I used the Audi app to organize a tow, which cost me $167 (can that be reimbursed, especially if it's a warranty fix for the motor or the high voltage system?) to go 7 miles. Neither here nor there, it is what it is. I just wasn't expecting it. I can always claim it on insurance as well if I needed to, I guess...?

My question to the much more knowledgable and longer tenured users here: what are the chances that this is the coolant ingress issue or high voltage battery and not some insanely expensive part? I'm really hoping it's the motor or battery as that's covered by warranty. The car is a 2022 E-Tron with 76500 miles (ish). Based on what I could research, this is likely the coolant issue, but ... I guess Audi will tell me when they've diaged the car, it went into the workshop at 3PM today, which is pretty impressive given that it got to them around 11AM. Gotta give them props for that.

Thank you, all. I appreciate any insight!

[USA-OH] [H] Intel Core i9-10850K Avengers Edition (v. good OCer) / Intel Xeon E3-1285v4 / EK Quantum Torque fittings / EKWB O11 XL distro / 26x low (30-50%) health 256GB M.2 NVMe [W] PayPal or Cash on Collection

Hey all,

Time to get some more stuff listed and out of the house... hopefully!

Prices are OBO, but please be respectful when making offers. No super low balls.

Timestamps: https://imgur.com/a/S8t3Q8D

Prices include shipping to the US.

1) Intel Core i9-10850K Avengers Edition - $225

Fully boxed. Was able to complete Cinebench at 5.4 GHz on water, YMMV! It's extremely good for a 10850K. Memory boots at 4633 MHz without issue on the Z490 Apex, straight from the built in profile, no tweaks.

2) Intel Xeon E3-1285v4

Functions as expected, pulled from a working machine years ago and kept in storage, time for it to go to a new home.

3) EKWB Quantum Torque nickel fittings:

18x EK Torque fittings - $6 each or $90 for all

8x EK Torque 90 degree rotary - $12 each or $80 for all

5x EK Torque 28mm extender (1x new in bag) - $25 for all, not splitting

2x EK Torque rotary offset 14mm (1x new in bag) - $25 for both, not replitting

Buy all of the above for $175

4) EKWB O11D XL distro w/ EK DDC 4.1 pump - $200

The acrylic has been cloudy since I got it (used from here, years ago) and sadly does ruin it somewhat, but it is not too visible if you use a darker fluid. Pump has approx. 100 hours of run time on it, I upgraded from the factory pump but it didn't do much for temps, just allowed me to run it quieter.

5) 26x mixed brand NVMe 256GB SSDs - $250

These are all 30-50% health, would be fine for a boot drive or something but nothing majorly dependent on writes... for obvious reasons. I'd like to keep them together as one sale, but might consider splitting if there's enough interest.

Hey guys,

I'm looking to offload some stuff from my hoard and would love for it to go to a new home.

Brand new/sealed ASUS X870-P WiFi - $125

Brand new, came with my 9850X3D bundle from Micro Center (I only wanted the CPU and RAM to finish a second system for my daughter). Nothing else to say other than it is still sealed as shown.

ASUS X99-WS/IPMI w/ 2630L - $110

This board came to me with a few bent pins and a missing heatsink which I've been able to locate. The pins were straightened out sufficiently to ensure that the board fully functions. The four primary DIMM slots are fully functional, unsure about the secondary channels, but assumed working. The CPU is basically just a socket protector.

Intel Core i9-10850K Avengers Edition - $250

OK, pricing is high on this one, I know. The thing is that this CPU overclocks phenomenally well. I could run it at 5.4 GHz on water cooling through Cinebench. It's extremely rare for the 10850K to be able to do this. I can get the SP for it if you need it. Pricing is OBO, but it is priced reasonably given its capability.

Intel Xeon E3-1285V4 - $60

Clean pull, been sitting on a shelf for a while and it's time to get rid.

Hitachi BU40N Bluray drive - $125

This was purchased in the beginning of 2024 and was used to rip Blurays to my NAS, but it's no longer required.

3x (2x) PNY and (1x) Zotac GTX 1080 Ti for parts/repair/practice - $75 for all three

These cards either artifact like crazy, have no display (no power to core) or have some other fault. These are strictly for parts/repair/practice only and will be sold with NO warranty. These are broken cards.

Cooljag DEN-A LGA 1150 pure copper cooler - $30

Pulled from a prebuilt system from yesteryear. I kept it because the copper is cool, but realistically, it's just collecting dust.

I have more stuff to come, including water cooling components like a DDC 4.1 and a EKWB distro for the O11 Dynamic... but this is it for now.
