I only follow league of legends eSports but was a CS GO player for a while so I have heard conversations of the pro scene - Wasn't our CS GO team considered legendary? I saw a post here saying they lost a tier 3 (!!) tournament?

Guys I know Mr. Sally said pick Malphite and at least be useful but the thing is Varus stomps Malphite top. So let's say we had prime TheShy on the team and he is R5 into that draft, what would he have picked to beat the lane or at least go even?
Edit: the gnar pick is shit, I'm not defending it. I'm curious from draft POV is there no way to beat this champ in lane?

Edit: Looks like it's back. Guessing based on service status messages might have had something to do with Hwei - WASD and/or honor teammates screen?
