Safi walking to the inside rail
Safi: the grass got beating on it. Have you move the rails?
Crew 1 answers
Crew 1: Yes, Sir. Shifted out three meters. Inside lane took too much punishment last week.
Safi: that'll do. Keep up with the work
Safi walking into the homestretch. He sensing something off with the surface. He stomp on the grass, and feel a damp water there
Safi: I need a report for this
Crew 2 came and reporting
Crew 2: Good day, Sir. Section C was a little heavier near the 200-meter marker. We rolled it again at 5:30 PM
Safi: That's more like it. I love it, and keep it up.
Safi walking to the starting gate. Crew 3 tested it. Again, and again
Crew 3: Starting gate is ready, Sir. No delays, or late openings.
Safi walked farther along the turf, stopping where hoof damage from the previous meet had been repaired.
He knelt and grabbing the root grip
Safi: Stable. Good. Love it
then, Safi's focus redirected into the dirt track part. the low growl of the harrow machine rolled across the morning air, leveling the surface for the later races. Everyone knowing exactly what needed to be done without wasted words.
Then, one of Senior Steward came to him.
Steward: Do you think we're ready?
Safi looking around. The homestretch, cameras, finish line, and the starting gate
Safi: Ready. The time soon will be come. The gladiator of today, with no bloodshed but pride and fame goes. We'll call it a day
The steward nods and walking away. It's been pretty almost everyday for Safi to check those racecourses. Until one day, he sits at a chair and sighs
Safi: I am so glad to do this. Not everyone knows it...but I'm glad I love this job. For the Uma Musume...and for everyone
Safi looks at his watch and walking away. For him, the ground crews are the underrated heroes who deserve a spotlight for their dedication to make the stage ready for the race
