Review: SAROS Review: Housemarque has struck gold again and this one burns just as bright
Just finished reviewing SAROS for Dot Esports, and honestly, Housemarque might have done it again.
If you loved the intensity of Returnal but wanted stronger progression, smarter systems, and a more grounded story, SAROS delivers in a big way.
What stood out most for me:
• Addictive bullet-hell combat that rewards skill and aggression
• Incredible boss fights, especially later in the game
• Runs feel rewarding even after death
• Rahul Kohli brings real personality to Arjun Devraj
• Housemarque’s signature gameplay feel is still elite
It’s still challenging, and the early hours can be brutal, but once it clicks, it really clicks.
I scored it a 9.5/10.
