Marjoram, savory, thyme, basil, oregano, rosemary.

Planted a bunch of herbs expecting some to fail. They have not failed (except the tarragon which is a total bummer) I am going to have a crap ton of all of these all summer. What are some herb forward dishes that will use a lot of these herbs? Obviously I can make a traditional basil pesto but are there similar sauces or dressings using the rest of my herbs?

I have a royal blue couch and a grey loveseat and three grey toy boxes that double as window seats. I’d rather not get new furniture (expensive) but I want to paint the toy boxes. The shelf next to the tv will be filled with treasures from our travels. Large landscape over the fireplace. I’m looking to probably paint the wall with the window and I need a new light fixture/fan.

I generally go for cheerful, colorful, relaxed.

The more I think about it the more I want to paint the wall behind the tv and the wall with the fireplace (at least) I would love some bold color options.

Over the last few decades fur has become a social taboo because it’s generally inhumane. Even things like fur trim is looked down on in most circles.

However I see a lot of fashion using feathers. There are no fake feathers and, like fur, the animal has to die to use them. Feathers are probably just as inhumane as fur without the stigma.

Looking at met gala photos Beyoncé and Anna wintour both wore feather capes. I know met gala is an exception in fashion but on “regular” red carpets or other events I’ve seen a lot of people (normies and celebs) wearing feather accents. Fashion tv shows like Project Runway have made a big deal of being fur free but allow feathers.

I bought a bunch of pretty fabrics when Joanne was closing because I was definitely going to learn to sew. One pillow and a very crooked skirt later I’m feel like I know less than before. I have a bunch of weird amounts and random fabrics and I don’t know what to do with them.

I had some flooding so my house is going to be a construction zone for several weeks. I want to keep having my cleaners come to keep up with the extra construction mess but I also understand that’s going to be a pain in the butt for the cleaners. The active work zones obviously will not need to be cleaned until the work is done. Fewer rooms to clean but more mess in the active rooms.

I also don’t want the cleaners to feel unsafe with a bunch of random dudes. My company always sends a team of four so at least it won’t be one woman alone in my house. I usually stay out of the house when my cleaners are here but I’m wondering if it’d be better if I stayed. I’m an extremely un-intimidating woman so I won’t exactly be a great bodyguard but having an extra pair of eyes may be better.

Obviously my first step was to text the business owner so nobody is surprised but I’d like a little advice from the front lines.
