Cutscenes for Documentary

Hey guys!

I am an independent filmmaker who has been working on a documentary about the owner of the largest arcade in the world, and his 30+ year quest to complete his own 2D digitized fighting game. If you're interested, you can check out an early trailer HERE.

We are in the final stretch, and there are a number of stories that are recounted within the film that I want to present in the manner of cutscenes. I also want to employ a variety of cutscene types: everything from Ninja Gaiden-style sprites to dithered live-action segments to low-poly PS1-style sequences.

And here is where I am hoping that you folks can help me out.

What are your favorite cutscenes? What are examples of cutscenes that exemplify a specific style? What are the most unique and/or genre-defining cutscenes?

Thanks!
