Kudos for employees

Has anyone who still goes to Loblaws’s noticed the cashier who pushes for kudos. This is rewarding the cashier for good customer service by filling out a survey, these are 5,000 PC optimum points. It’s like a legal tip that doesn’t need declaring. Some will flirt to the point of disgusting and inappropriate. I have had a guy cashier hit on me at the self checkout, standing behind me and whispering in my ear. I tried reporting him and he still does it to others. A female cashier was hitting on my husband until she realized I was with him and then she turned on the charm asked and suggested that I fill out the survey to win a million points. I guess Loblaws’s are desperate to get these surveys. When I need something I go to my favourite cashier who has never been aggressive or pushy.

Coworker lied to supervisor

I work in retail and it’s tough with all the customers complaining, they take their frustrations out on me. I don’t control prices, I get yelled at when they don’t get their way.

The other day, I was in the locker room getting ready before my shift, a coworker came in saying she had picked up a shift then she said she had to because she didn’t have enough hours. By the way, she has more hours than other cashiers who have more seniority. She was curious about who’s shift it was, I told her she could check the schedule or talk to the supervisor.

On my way to my cash, the supervisor confronts me saying I had no right to harass her(the coworker) and to mind my own business. She refused to listen to me when I said I didn’t do anything. Other cashiers saw something was wrong.

I tried working but I was too upset so I left after an hour before I did something bad like confronting this cashier. I should have gone to the union right away and did something. The higher up department manager told me to not go to union and tell her directly then she proceeds to pick apart my complaint and saying that I was wrong.

I once reported a cashier who put a liquor bottle at his work station, which is a fire able offence and she did nothing. Favorites are protected and I’m a older lady who is constantly being blamed when the younger employees screw up, I have been there 30 years and don’t break rules.

I haven’t stopped crying in days.
