Rebuilding Campus #5 (Part 1/3)
Starting the biggest project (so far) for this architecture series! Upon completion, this miniature model of the Hans Rosling Center for Population Health (HRC) will stand at 60 x 16 studs (18.9 x 5.0 inches) with an approximately 1:300 ratio.
The east module of HRC comprises of multi-grade entries from 15th Ave and campus, which is also the greatest challenge of this model. At a miniature scale, every single plate elevation change may proportionally affect size of the building, which had indeed changed throughout past 13 iterations that led up to this finalized version. While the exterior depth/height ratio may not resemble the more square-like look of the actual building, this has been sacrificed to allow for more accurate interior presentation across floors.
Over the next several months, I plan to continue designing the central block and western module (which includes Starbucks). This project is aimed to conclude in Summer 2026 (after graduation). In the meantime, I'll release several smaller models including the Quad, as requested by many of y'all in the past.
Many thanks to the publicly available floor plans and reference images found from Miller Hull, the humanitarian architecture firm that designed this building. As always thanks for all the community support that kept me motivated for this project.
