Just checked in for my flight from inverness - amsterdam- bangkok.

I have the option to upgrade to business class for the inverness to amsterdam part but not from amsterdam to bangkok.

Its a short flight on an Embraer 175 so not really worth upgading but if I dont upgrade the very first leg does that mean I cant upgrade the 2nd leg from amsterdam to banbkok???

The business class for that leg is greyed out with no upgrade option offered.

Award Fares is showing a number of blocked seats in business class so I'm confused. Yet again. 🙄

I understand that you need to have twenty thousand baht (or equivalent currency) upon arrival in order to comply with the entry requirements.

It seems it's a bit hit or miss as to whether you get asked about this but I'm erring on the side of caution and making sure I have this cash to hand just in case, it will be in English £20 notes.

I was told by someone that the notes need to be pristine. Is this really the case? The notes I have are from the bank and whilst they are in good clean condition, they are certainly not pristine and like new.

Will this be a problem if I am asked to prove I have funds? I'm struggling to believe a note that has been folded at one point or has a small crease in it would actually cause a problem but I honestly don't know. How strict might they be?
