Lift size question.

  • I know how to measure to check thanks to google and ultimately will end up doing that. but I recently got this (07 jk Sahara) from a small dealer and he had no idea what size lift this is. any of yall that are educated on the matter have a guess?? Based on pics ive seen tryinng to google the set up. I think its a 3-3.5“ but then it looks like it might even be a 4” based on some results.
  • it’s got 285/70r17s on it. and they looked ok at first, but the more I stare at it the smaller they look. was definitely built out as a rock crawler based on what’s under it (nothings stock). dosnt have front fender liners In these pics and has high clearance fenders. so that might be miss leading on the lift size, making it look taller. hight appearance didn’t change much when I put inner fenders on it. but I’m not one of those people that takes picture of my ride all the time so don’t have updated pics. the more I stare at it the more feel like it needs 35s or a 285/75 at minimum. The most off-roading I do could be done in a stock truck, worst I do is ranch roads. (imagine a very shitty county road but on pvt lands). or a public access road to fish. so I’m not worried about losing travel, and this suckers has plenty of travel anyways. also not thinking bigger tires for any reason other than they might look better.
  • (edit) for clarification, Im not a jeep guy. This is The 3rd one I’ve had. First was another 07 years ago. And the 2nd was a 2018. Owning Both ended very sudden and very tragic, long story short the last one I owned I had an axle rod slide out of the jeep going down the highway. For yall that don’t know, you become a very outa balance 3 wheeler when that happens.
  • and it was stock and had 25k miles on it. I only bought this jeep because I can’t afford a decent truck of the same value to me. Turns out I can afford a decent jeep 🤣. it’s growing on me and I wanna like a jeep. Point is I only know what I’ve taught my self or googled. if I say something in reply it’s not to be a smart aSS it’s simply to relay as much detail as I can to reach the goal. 👍🏼

ideas? thanks
