Bots by BannedMan (Theory)

Over the past few weeks, there were quite a few posts with strong negative or full-of-hate takes on the other community that would regularly pull 150–300+ upvotes.

A few weeks ago, one of the main moderators got banned by Reddit for rule violations (which many in the community, including myself, saw as a positive step toward healthier discussion).

Out of curiosity, I’ve been checking back in, and it feels like overall activity and upvotes on similar posts have dropped SIGNIFICANTLY. Scrolling through recent threads, the numbers look much quieter compared to before.

It got me wondering (purely as a fun theory, not claiming anything definitive):

Was there possibly some botting or coordinated boosting going on to increase the negativity?

Just an observation!! I’m not trying to stir drama or accuse anyone specifically. Curious if others have noticed the same shift?

Would love to hear your thoughts (keep it civil please). 🙏🏼

The Evacuation of Indians in the UAE is false!

Source: KhaleejTimes

India has dismissed as fake a report claiming that New Delhi and Abu Dhabi were working on a pact to evacuate Indian citizens through Fujairah port.

MEA FactCheck, the official fact-checking account of India's Ministry of External Affairs, issued a "Fake News Alert" on Monday, saying there was "no basis in fact" for the claim.

It’s important to double-check information on the internet (especially the info that comes from communities that enjoy spreading disgusting, untrue narratives)!

Story time: When I was 14, my cousin told me to read this book called “Damaged” by Cathy Glass, and it was a true story about a young girl who was sexually abused. I bought it but never read it. I’m 25 now, and I found it on my old shelf. I decided to read it, and I finished it in a few hours! I was amazed by how the foster carer cared for this child and, in some ways, ensured justice for her. I went online, found out more, and decided to get more books. My current read is Hiddenhalfway through — and I feel like I’m learning from the way she handles vulnerable cases. I highly recommend.

Most of these books were written in the 2000s, and I get a nostalgic feeling of how life was back then.
