Just a little rant that I'm sure people have talked about before. I was watching the latest video from Wally about the new JW Borgcasting and listening to Sandwichson as he TALKED. in. HIS. strangely. ENUNCIATED. articulation. IT. honestly. JUST. made. ME. think. ABOUT. how. UNNATURAL. and. OFF-PUTTING. it. SOUNDS.

I really don't understand why they do this other than the fact that it's incredibly infantilizing. Like they have to talk down to all the R&F like they're literal children. (Which makes sense given that they're making them study a literal children's book right now. 😆)

Even when I was deeply in, I always found the talks to be ***incredibly*** boring, but having been out for so long, whenever I hear the weird Borg drone voice it's so striking and odd. You'd think with all the money they spent on worldly outside consultants for their whole JW rebranding that someone, at some point, would've pointed out that their weirdly stilted and childish way of speaking doesn't come off well to outsiders.

Anyway, I just thought it was funny. It's so normal for them that I usually don't even think about it, but this time for whatever reason, it just hit me right in the face. 😅
