Defrosting
Today my girlfriend wanted to make burgers for us and sometimes she is really lax with food safety
The short version is she wanted to hurry the defrosting and I've showed her the right way to do this with dripping water in a sealed package in the past.
When I got home the burgers were in the walmart package sitting in the sink. The package had a hole in it and the water was getting into the meat. To make things worse the sink hadn't even been cleaned there was old pepperoni and noodles in the strainer.
Can someone please explain to her that this is 100% not okay. If I'm overreacting please correct me.
