Stuck on "RCS Connecting" – Pixel 10 Pro on Google Fi (Going on 4 weeks)
I recently moved my wife from an iPhone 13/T-Mobile over to a Pixel 10 Pro on Google Fi. Everything was great for two weeks, but now her RCS is completely broken—it just stays stuck on "Connecting."
The bigger issue is that she isn't receiving any group texts at all. Since I’m the one who talked her into switching, I’m definitely feeling the heat!
What we’ve tried so far:
- Cleared storage/cache for Messages and Carrier Services.
- Uninstalled/reinstalled apps.
- Deleted the eSIM and reactivated service via the Fi app.
- Countless hours with Google Fi support (they keep telling us to "wait 24 hours" for an escalation that never happens).
The current standoff: Support offered a refurbished replacement, but she’s (rightfully) annoyed at the idea of swapping a brand-new phone for a refurb after only a month. We haven't tried a factory reset yet, but that’s the last "nuclear" option.
Has anyone dealt with this "RCS Connecting" loop on a Pixel 10 Pro? If you found a fix that didn't involve a factory reset or a refurbished swap, I’d love to hear it.
