Just lost my sweet girl

I just lost my sweet girl of 8 years, Ellie. She would have been 9 in July. I am still in disbelief, but I know it was for the best. She had hip dysplasia and could barely walk/get up and was using the bathroom on herself.

I would be conceited for keeping her here. I would love to get another Dane; however, my work schedule is just so hectic, it would be mean for me to do so and never be around the pup.

Thank you for listening to my vent. I just needed to come to a community who understands the grief of loosing your best friend.

My mom likes to compare her vs. me

Hi -
So, I have had a seizure disorder since I was 16 (F) - I am now 34 (F). I have tried numerous medications, even have had a temporal lobectomy. Still having seizures, about 4-5 a month, but not as severe as they used to be; very thankful for that. I have a very great job, wonderful social life, and in a great relationship.
I specifically see an epileptologist (the best in the southeast, must I add) for my seizure disorder, and a neurologist for my chronic migraines - they work together great to modify medications if need be.

Now, my mother also as "seizures," as her doctor calls them. She has been seizure free for over a year and does not take as near medication as me. She loves to compare/contrast the two of us and our medications and how she "is not on as much on me," and how "she is seizure free."

I told her was she ever having so-called "seizures" to begin with? And her so-called "neurologist" recently got his credentials taken away, so that also says something, too. Am I overacting, or is my mother acting like this is a competition, or something?

Sorry, just wanted to vent to a community who knows what the frustration is like.

Thanks.

Advice/Help!!

Hi, everyone!
I recently accepted a really nice fully remote work position. However, I never have worked remote and I am quite nervous. Can you please give me some advice/recommendations? Everything would help! Thanks!

Interested

Hi there! I am totally interested in trying out Lagree - it is completely new to my area. However, I already have a gym membership to a competitor, and I am afraid to "cheat" on them. What are the pros/cons and how quick do you see results? I am bloated often due to my gastro disease and just want to feel comfortable in my body. All the advice and tips would be helpful! Thanks!
