Neighbor doesn't want dogs in her yard. Installs a nuisance noise device.
There's an older lady who lives in a house on my street, who HATES when people let their dogs pee in her yard. Fair, it's her yard. She even put a couple signs in her yard warning folks not to let their dogs use her yards as a toilet. Again, fair, it's her yard, the signs are small and look fine.
Apparently the signs weren't doing the trick though, so she has now installed solar powered motion activated devices that emit a loud high pitched noise. The problem? Other people's mailboxes are at the edge of her yard, and whenever people go to get their mail, the device goes off. And on the other side of her yard, there is a path to a local park, which is very popular with neighbors, and she placed a second device there that goes off whenever anyone walks down the path.
I don't know if these devices have worked to keep dogs out of her yard, but they have worked at pissing off neighbors getting their mail, and making babies and small kids cry as their family heads to the park.
Are these things even legal?!
