So my Careers had a rough start.
After my MBA, I secured a placement with a professional services/consulting firm, but my onboarding was delayed by a year due to internal restructuring. When I eventually joined, and I was laid off within six months.
I then moved into a Business Analyst role at a hotel chain, which I feel I took up out of desperation.
I now have 2 years of experience and am moving back into consulting, specifically in the Project Finance domain.
However, I feel my career progression has been unsatisfactory. I started with a compensation of over ₹1 lakh per month, which dropped to ₹50K in my next role, and now stands at ₹65K with this transition. This makes me feel like I have failed myself at so many levels.
On the otherhand I see my MBA Batchmates doing so well in their careers, some even take up Managerial responsibilities.
