I know how this sounds already but would like to know if I should have been more sympathetic.. So I met this girl at a concert and we hit it off. We spent lots of time texting back and forth for the next week. Things seemed to be off to a great start. 

Later we spent a day fishing (her idea). We both had one catch it was really chill and fun. Later that night we went out to see some live music with her girlfriends. It all went really well until the end..

I was her ride. At the end of the night her friend came up to me and asked if I’d be okay with her stealing her friend for a girls night, sure.. Then when we linked back up with the girl. Her friend says to her “hey I want to steal you away for a girls night, to which my date replied “yeah I wanna have a girls night”. 

So now I get the feeling they had this conversation already and was a save me kind of deal.. so I go “alright I guess I’ll get out of here”. She gives me a side hug and says “see ya’”. Oooooof…. I say “see ya’” and leave..

The next morning she texted me the image for this post. I was a little upset at how that was handled the night before..

Anyways I ran into her at the dog park a few days later and it was awkward to say the least.. I saw her walk by and said “is that (name)?”. She said hi, waved and kept walking 

So my question to you.. is how could I have handled that differently? Is there anything I can do from here lol. I question myself if I should have shared my understanding with her, because I do know what that’s like. But at the same time I feel like girls just say that stuff so they don’t feel bad.
