Pink Floyd DSOTM Original Master Recording 1979

I don’t play it very often as I would like to. It sits top shelf as one of my favorites and I usually go to the cd or one of my other copies on record format. Has some minor paper scuff but doesn’t impact playback. I love just looking at it and seeing that yellow Original Master Recording at the top.

Edit: For everyone saying this is a 1981 issue because of the italized Origin Master Recording: Thank you. I will update my Discogs to the 1981 even though my runouts only are listed on the 1979. I’m aware that Discogs could have the 1981 reissue listed by accident in the 1979. Thank you for educating me.

Mark Knopfler Shangri-la

My holy grail finally landed: Shangri-La by Mark Knopfler.

The only official vinyl release was pressed in 2004 by Mercury Records, and copies regularly hit $400+ on Discogs.

When I found this at my local record store, I didn’t know it was a 2006 “pre-production sample”. What makes it especially interesting is the WB label and the fact it was mastered by Stan Ricker at Stan Ricker Mastering.

From what I can tell, this is basically a ghost release, something that exists physically but was never commercially issued in any real way.

Absolute dream find. I proudly display it on my wall.
