What happened, man? Why did it decrease to below 9?
Above 9 meant really good for the web-novel. Not that I care about ratings though, just curious…

Apparently, 86 got removed from Crunchyroll either due to license expiry or some other circumstances.
Best is, Netflix or other platform could take this opportunity to license this for streaming.
Like I said, good job Crunchyroll! Keep increasing premium price in stupid ways, keep making the platform shittier day by day and month by month.
Whenever I consider getting premium, seeing all these news makes me feel all the more reason not to get it.
And what’s the point of keeping 86 with them. They never uploaded any clips from this series in Youtube in our region.
And now I’m worried about ORV as well, since Crunchyroll is involved in the production.
New permanent characters (Orsola, Fukiyose, Tatemiya, Itsuwa, Misa-mama)✅
Fanservice at the spicie- Anyway, the fanservice was out of the bounds here, with ofc the classic “YOU SHOULD KNOCK BEFORE ENTERING THE ROOM”, (huge pity for Index cause she gets caught in that) and then yeah, undress yourself and give your clothes in the washing machine. And yk what’s the spiciest one? ORIANA THOMSON🔥🔥
Shirai’s way of using teleportation is awesome as well. But Musujime had better abilities but hollup- Accelerator destroyed her in 30 seconds lmao.
She’s built on whole another level. No undergarment outfit, yet she fights like a final boss. Like she took out Stiyl, Tsuchimikado and almost got Touma as well. Her way of using alternate types of magic was great! Imagine going through all this, and then telling Index everything that happened. Sometimes I think Touma deserves those bites, but ig he receives them everyday cause SUCH MISFORTUNE!
The Queen Fleet really didn’t have much impression other than ENEMIES BECOME FRIENDS type of. And the Roman Catholic Church declared Touma as the greatest enemy.
The interactions with Misakas are also nice. Yeah, I’m talking about all of them (OG Misaka, 10032, Last Order). Accelerator really becoming an adopting dad for someone with arrogance. His development is going good until that maniac debuts in.
Aleister’s scheme of declaring war against the Magicians was kinda successful. Yo, that scene of angelified Hyouka was cursed. Accelerator somehow got those black wings behind him, was it Index’s song influence?
I can’t keep yapping, there’s lots to tell. Seems like Hamazura will enter the cast next season (and final as well). Accelerator will get as much screentime as possible ig. I’m kinda excited for final season cause it’s an all out war.
But yeah, judging by MAL rating of last season, I heard the ending is rushed? But Touma as a protagonist feels monotonous, does he have any development? He’s still the same, goes through tough battles, his ideology remains intact, stills suffers misfortune, the mysteries of his right hand yet to be revealed.

Being kidnapped and isolated for 10 years… 10 YEARS!! It’s a nightmarish torture for Hinagiku! And others as well, Sakura, Rosei, Itecho.
While Sakura cherishes her like crazy, does she have feelings for Itecho? Or it’s just that Season guards relation?
The Village of Spring is straight up… rotten to the core. If she was still alive, they could have made a little bit of effort to search for her. Sakura is the most loyal character of this series now.
But here’s the problem with Sakura. She lost faith in people , even those close to her just because they gave up searching for her. While Hinagiku really wants to meet Rosei, Sakura wouldn’t accept because they betrayed her. Well, even they are regretting of not helping.
The Summer Agent’s story contradicts Hinagiku’s story. Like how she never asked for the powers of summer, but still got it because… randomness. Godly powers are also a kind of curse, that’s the conclusion from the Agent of Summer Arc.
But I’m really loving the story so far, but still not Violet Evergarden level yet. It has possibility to be better and episode 7 proves it. While Nateshiko is adorable and innocent, yet the Insurgents really threw a massive missile bomb after lots of lore bombs in previous episodes.
And that Insurgent Lady, surely she’s the one who tortured Hinagiku the whole 10 years. Okay, I get about the Seasons’ side, but what about the Insurgents? What’s their exact purpose of obtaining seasonal powers? She could have killed Hinagiku back then but did not, and they don’t plan to kill anyone yet ig? Is she the final antagonist or somehow?
That last moment blew me away, with the sheer horror on Rindo’s face. Well done, WIT Studio.👏👏

Waiter, waiter! Can I have more desserts pls? Ah yes, this is the one I was craving for.
Ah yes, finally got to see their kiss! And they slept together! ❤️❤️
But yeah, there’s too much cuddling and everything, especially in episode 4, which was the starting of Volume 6. Volume 6 was the least of my favourites cause I had the same complains while reading the LN, their cuddling was way too detailed. What am I supposed to imagine while reading?
Haha, I remember Itsuki comparing that to Chitose’s in Volume 6 and he got a talk cause of that😂😂
And back to the Shiina family drama. I just hate her mother, rotten to the core. Even if Asahi regrets not looking after her daughter, it’s too late now.
Shiina’s family drama reminds me that Volume 12 is here, so expect more story behind this divorce incident and why the parents were forced to marry each other.
Volume 7 and 8 adaptation should be great since we got our side characters rolling around especially Ayaka. And then there’s (spoiler) >!Amane getting part-time job which is also a great phase for him!<.
First we got the Jumanji reference here! Then the love confession! And another tragic story of Zuma, might be better than AcroSilky’s. Then the four of them jumping on the Fairy-Tale card! Could the final villain be Saint Germain? He really gave the title drop! And then Seiko treats the whole cast with food and meat! Now how will Momo recover from his small height? One of my favourite peak Shonen Jump Arcs!🔥🔥

Tough to believe that Touma’s playing along with everyone even if his memories are gone. Only the chad doctor is aware of this.
AISA ARC: Throughout the Academic City and Churches, she alone is the forgotten one. At least she could have some sort of esper power, but nah, she may attract vampires (do they exist here)? Seems Imagine Breaker’s more than just the power of right hand. Pretty much boring cause less characters and very short.
MISAKA ARC: I like Misaka’s personality for now. But I can’t unhear Shirai’s voice being equal to Beatrice’s (Re:Zero), she’s peak as well! I like this arc quite a lot, because we’re actually going to the Esper side of chaos.
Scientific abilities are more amazing than magic for me. Especially seeing Accelerator’s ability of changing vectors by simply touching. And how there are thousands of MISAKAs still safe and sound after the experiment stopped. If most of them went abroad, how will normal people identify them separately?
ANGEL FALL ARC: The first episode is pure tomfoolery, I thought Touma was hallucinating but it’s yet another magical spell cast down. Never thought one of Touma’s friends would be a magician as well. Welcome back, Kanzaki!
Had the feeling that Index would bite him again cause he hit her many times there😅😅, but justified. But not his fault, cause of the imposter face.
Misaka got the tsundere attitude, LESSGO! No wonder she’s very popular in this franchise. I’m excited for Railgun. What did Touma even say there to trigger her heart in that way?
LAST ORDER ARC: So Accelerator got that change in him after the defeat. He’s an interesting character ofc but he got KO’d for the time being.
HYOUKA ARC: Summer Vacations are almost over and school time is coming up, and yet another incident day by day. Ofc who doesn’t want fanservice when Hyouka’s got those? And those scenes really had to be typical huh?
I think Hyouka freaked out there because she got exposed of that AIM Dispersion field or whatever it was and she would be considered monster by her friends. Index locks in during her fight with Golem, and again I’m not interested in her thin thighs so stop showing that!
Anyway, the incident of Golem is done and Hyouka bids farewell. But the story is yet to stop, we got new characters incoming for season 2.
The music, I don’t like it. The horror music doesn’t fit well with the fights. Index became slight annoying for me compared to the intro where she was good. Kanzaki shot back there😳. Would love to see more of Shirai screentime, I suppose.
Crud, this is going to be a very long series!! But including Railgun as well…
Feels okay to watch one of J.C. Staff’s works after watching those latest horrendous frames last year. But I think this is one of JC’s prime works back then, including Toradora ig?
It’s useless to complain about animation since their quality has always been decent, except for the latest one I’ve noticed (Tamon’s B-side) and ofc Toradora.
Anyway, Back to the story, what a unique encounter by our boy Touma and the mascot-looking Index! I sure hope I don’t mistake calling Misaka as Mikasa😅😅. Ofc every anime I watch, there has to be a fanservice in the first episode, right? 🥀 Pls don’t tell me that loli sensei has a crush on him?
First 6 episodes, a real mess of what’s going with Index’s memories and brain. Her alternate voice reminds me of Tama (Gintama), I think her alt side represents the Church and their will.
Progress felt so slow, I feel everything could have been done in 4 episodes instead of 6. The sound quality is poor, my ears were itching while having earphones on.
But what an end to this intro of Index and Touma, he lost his memories and Index, she doesn’t actually lose memories, right?
The world combined with science and magic powers, what’s the next step now? To keep an eye on Touma because of his right hand? How will the Academic City understand the concept of magic?
Feels like this is just the beginning, but I do hope the pacing is good.
The second half really has best of the moments of this series.
Firstly, there’s the ultimate parasyte Gotou made by Tamura Reiko. Dude really has five parasytes placed in him. So parasytes think they are better than humans, but truth be said, they are also on the same level in terms of behaviour and aggressiveness.
And wow, Tamura’s change in character is tremendous! Her research on humans and emotions showed what it means to be one, and how parasytes are the same level as humans. Love, sacrifice, affection and lastly her impact on Shinichi. To think the one who would fill his inner hole would be her! Our old boy is back, but still no specs.
AHH, that LOCKED IN meme from my youtube algorithm.😂😂 Never thought it would be from this series and from this ash-hole. But yeah, that face really gave me shills as well.
There are lots of ironies from here as well. Those soldiers verifying to kill parasytes, even by means of killing humans as an end-result. And Shinichi got that long-lasting trauma of being killed by Gotou.
For the last episodes, it’s interesting that it focuses around Shinichi’s decisive role to save people or not, and whether to sacrifice his life or not. And also the deep friendship between him and Migi over the course of time they were together.
And then the life cycle of Earth. Parasytes, the so called monsters, are just.. living creatures that are living on food (i.e. humans) just like how carnivores feed on other animals. I still didn’t understand regarding Shin’s hesitation of dealing last blow to Gotou there. At first he didn’t but then he decided to do it.
Farewell Migi. Idc if you stuttered, but you were amazing. Parasyte wouldn’t be Parasyte without him.
The another great irony in the final episode: Shinichi’s final enemy is not Gotou the parasyte, but Uragami, a human. Mentally he’s a monster and I hate him. Reminds me of a lot of irl people we all know.
The series overall was amazing in terms of providing philosophy and character development. There’s the live-action, Parasyte: The Gray as well.. but I will consider giving it a try.
Yeah, I haven’t mentioned about romance here. But for me, Idc about the romance here as long as Shinichi is there in the screen time. The story is peak, from start to finish.
I wonder though, what’s the update on Reiko’s baby, and how the Police is operating regarding the parasytes that are still lurking around. Does Shinichi visit Granny Mitsuyo often as to give her company?
I’m finally watching a MADHOUSE anime after all this time🔥🔥 (Last time I watched was Lvl 999 Yamada, wholesome romance, do watch it.)
Ah yes, the instant oppai grab scene right there. Well, I’m not laughing since it’s not ecchi but a fantastical story.
Normally, parasites are supposed to take away all the nutrients and leave the host to die, but Migi might be different or does it work differently for other parasytes.
I heard that Shinichi is an amazing aura monster. Well, I saw it when he rescued the cat from the bullies. Humans truly are closest to demons.
Will Shinichi get parasyte allies as well, seeing how the teacher just wants to have a normal society life? But alas, Mr. A doesn’t seem to accept it.
Well, 3 episodes in. The fun and action is yet to be unpacked so I’m going for it!
With few episodes of comedy and intro, the story progresses with individual characters. I’m sorry to say this but this has to be a very confusing story and plot to me.
Compared to Kanon and Clannad character stories, Kano and Tohno’s story didn’t do anything to me. Perhaps it was rushed and quick, but the first 6 episodes were okay-ish at best.
But the next 6 episodes hooked me up then, with Misuzu’s story and the past of Kanna. So Yukito disappeared and reincarnated as a crow by Misuzu’s side? Then who was the Yukito we saw along then? Or was the crow with Ryuuya’s soul? Very confusing…
I love that for Misuzu’s route, it was mostly Haruko, her foster mother being the protagonist role of adoring and cheering for her. Even though Misuzu lost her memories, she didn’t give up cause it gave her more opportunities.
Until Misuzu gives her final farewell to her mom, and… she’s gone. How many months has it been that she recovered from that loss and grieve?
And what were those two children playing near the shores, from the beginning Misuzu and Yukito met each other? Were those two Kanna and Ryuuya in a new world?
Even I didn’t understand the plot of how Ryuuya and Uraha planned to save Kanna from her sad dreams. Is she still flying in the sky, dreaming those same ones?
But I really loved the dynamic of the trio, and I loved it more while watching Air in Summer.
But still, that doesn’t change anything to how I couldn’t understand the connection between Kanna and Misuzu. I might have to do thorough research for this series, considering I can’t play the Visual Novel.
Overall I’m disappointed with KyoAni with how Air got treated compared to Kannon and Clannad. I still think there’s a lot more to AIR compared to the two.
Anime-wise: Clannad > Kanon > Air
