Hi all, I need two repairs on my Audi Q5:

1. Passenger side rear view mirror is damaged and needs repair (not a total replacement). Quoted $2,127.85 for part and $388.50 for labor. Went to Audi dealership (I figured they were going to charge a ton), and then a local repair shop, where I got this quote. They said the part seems to only be available from Audi, which is why it’s so expensive. Part number is 80B857410E9B9.

2. Tail light on passenger side has a hole in the middle of it somehow. Quoted $1,123.99 for part and $97.13 for labor. Part number is 80A945076C.

These repair costs seem pretty outrageous, especially the parts. I’m looking for advice on how to get these repairs done as cost effectively as possible. Both are cosmetic issues, so I just need them to look fixed, I don’t care if they’re original parts. I’m in the metro Atlanta area. Appreciate any advice!

I just started my 12mo in daycare this week. The teacher told us that naps are at 9:20 AM and again at 12 PM. The amount of awake time after that 12:00 nap until bedtime is super long for my kid. At home, she naps from 10-11 AM and then 2:30-3:30 PM, then goes to bed at 7:30 PM. How do I adapt my daughter to the daycare schedule while not completely wearing her out?
