What phone should I get?

Currently I have a realme 12 5G and I wanted to get something better. I really like the realmeUI, but since OnePlus, realme and oppo are all under BBK Electronics, getting a phone from either company will result in the same or similar features. I want something I can play games in with good performance and it must have a USB c with dp alt mode (video output). Optionally I also want a small phone, but if that's not possible it's ok. I also want something affordable without my wallet crying.

Edit: phones with a microSD card are rare, but if there's one that has it, it would be great

realme 12 5G - unable to connect to O+ Connect

I'm trying to connect my realme 12 5G to my Windows 11 laptop using O+ Connect, but the phone and the laptop do not see each other. Both devices are in the same network. I tried both the USB and QR Code way.

I'm a long time Linux user and I want to try for a week or two Windows. What can I expect?
