How to get through the day when a supervisor doesn’t like you?
Hey so I need advice here.
So I have a supervisor who is hard to work with and I don’t like them and they don’t like me and it’s been like that since I transferred to that store, they’re hard to get along with but with everyone else they’re best friends with everyone which really pmo and everyone knows I don’t like them. I feel like I’m walking on eggshells with them. They also try to gaslight me and say I constantly lie about stuff and they always believe people over me (I’m a horrible liar, if I lie I always laugh while I’m telling a lie. If I’m telling the truth while they’re trying to gaslight me I always keep a straight face and never laugh) like for one instance like a month ish ago they came in on their day off and got a food markout and I attempted to give them their discount and they said they weren’t paying for it so they started to cause a scene and because my DM and RD were there I gave into their fit and ended up giving them the markout and then I regretted it days later and told my SM what happened, gave my written statement because I wasn’t going to risk my job and I said “I’m just following the rules and I need to report this and I don’t care if they don’t like me afterwards, the only markout I give to anyone on their day off is their bean markout” and then I guess my SM told my supervisor and then they said “well she’s lying. You know she lies right? She talked me into the food markout” and my SM said “she doesn’t lie and she told me that she attempted to give you the discount but you tried to cause a scene and she gave into it and regretted it and told me, I know the only markout she gives on a partner’s day off is their dean markout” so the supervisor even said to me I lied about it and I was trying to get them in trouble, I wasn’t lying about it and I was trying to hold them accountable for it, they even found out my SM had the supervisor talk with me and I expressed my interest and treated me terribly all because my SM had a conversation with me? I have even asked them to talk to me with respect while we were on the floor and we were clocked in and they refused to and said “well why don’t you ask any other supervisor to talk to you with respect and it’s just me?” Well because I don’t have to remind the other supervisor’s, they know to talk to me with respect. This supervisor has even said they don’t understand why every customer likes me and most customers like them, maybe because I’m nice to customers? I just don’t know what to do here because they’re coming back next week and I don’t work well with them. Should I talk to my new SM about this? I’m looking to transfer to a store near my new apartment and I’ve been seeing listings for supervisor positions in my district and I’m thinking about applying for them and I need my SM’s advice on applying for supervisor jobs and what to do with this situation and transferring.
