S-pen metal nib or wacom nibs? On paper-feel screen protector

I have noticed spen tips started wearing off a little. Which one to get? I don't want to keep buying them often. Just heard there are metal ones. Is it any good or better go with the normal tips?

Any tips on getting Handwritten notes on android tablet, and pdf annotations/marking?

I'm a student planning on using it on a galaxy tablet. I know there is Samsung notes and other dedicated handwriting apps for this purpose, but I am also thinking if it's possible inside obsidian it'll be much better.

Is there any easy to use plugins for making simple Handwritten notes? I don't think I need a lot of features, just a basic pen, eraser and maybe highlighter functionality. Without too much lag. I wonder if adding a small sticky note like thing with Handwritten equations is also possible, inside a normal text page.

A decently working pdf annotator too.

I am trying some of the plugins right now. But I would prefer any suggestions if you had any, from those who already have a good similar workflow. Thanks!

Kinda disappointed that it's such a great app but cloud backup/sync solutions are becoming messy right now.

It's good they have added windows app. But still some of the users will be using other android devices, Linux and Mac os etc. other notes apps are mostly subscription based.

How are you going to deal with this situation afterwards?

Personally I just got the tab. Maybe I should just use it for handwriting notes, export them once in a while to a obsidian/similar apps to manage them. Or to drive to create a backup.

Any suggestions?

I have the S10 Fe. I remember previously using this feature on Samsung notes where a circular quick menu appears to switch between favourite pens, colours and thickness. I vaguely remember it was with spean shortcut button. But now I see only the eraser is working.

Am I missing something obvious? I don't see any settings for this anywhere. Is there a specific way to get it working?

Edit: got it working after clearing the app data

Would like to use Samsung notes for Handwritten notes, but obsidian for organising and reading them. Does anyone have any tips or any experience?

Just started using Samsung notes, I see it has one note backup, but not that good. Made me think without other Samsung devices it's not that cross platform. ( I use a Mac by the way, windows rarely).

I was wondering if there are other good notes taking aps, with decent pdf support. With Mac, windows apps and syncing support. I would prefer it to be on the cheap side, free or one time payment.

Let me know what you are using and any suggestions. Thanks!

Got myself a tab S10 Fe for note talking and reading pdfs. I know windows has an app for Samsung notes. And not for Mac os.

Are there any work around? People who are using Mac os how do you get around? Any tips?

I probably won't be running a window vm just for that since it might take too much storage. But I do use a Linux VM.

Thanks for any suggestions

Recently I got into apple ecosystem, got MacBook air. It's been pretty good. I was a Linux user before that, so felt it's not bad compared to windows has to offer. The new liquid glass design wasn't my thing. But still it had minimal affect, as I don't interact with them that much, just focused on apps I want to use, getting used to keyboard shortcuts and gestures. Pretty fine. Had to get a tablet for not taking, so got the base iPad. Had to return and get an galaxy tablet because it felt so odd interacting with iPad os. Expected it to be similar experience as Mac. But felt the icons and UI was too big. Since it was the base iPad, I couldn't reduce zoom size by more space function. Which would have made it easier to use. Hardware is great, the size and everything. The gestures felt odd. Felt like the os doesn't make use of the screen real estate. Icons are a bit too big, like how kids or older people would prefer it. The more i looked into iPad os reviews and all, I got to know, some people did feel the same about the new multitasking. And the os updates are better for keyboard users, made the experience less appealing for traditional tablet users.

So, I am just wondering, if the experience is weird because I was new to apples way of doing it? Or iPad gestures were always been a bit difficult for new users? I remember using iPad a few years ago and felt it was a bit different, easier. How did it go for those who were in similar situation like me? was the iPad os 26 divide the iPad users in general?

Thanks for any suggestions. The reason I made this post is because the more I use Mac os, I get that it would have felt overall coherent with iPad and I might try it again someday. Galaxy Tab is great, but I wouldn't mind switching someday.

Currently trying to customize S10 Fe. Not a fan of one UI, and I would prefer something different, something pixel/stock android like.

Question for people who has been customizing their devices for long, what are your recommended resources? And suggestions?

Looking for:

Best icon packs

Launchers that work well with the tablet

Other one UI tweaks and tips

If you have a home screen setup you would like to share, drop that too. Thanks for any suggestions.
