I recently requested to reschedule my Amazon SDE-1 interview because a close grandparent suffered a stroke and I had to be with my family during the emergency.

I mailed the recruiter professionally and explained everything honestly, but I’m now overthinking whether this might negatively affect my chances or create a bad impression.

Has anyone here gone through something similar with Amazon or other big tech companies?
How did recruiters/interviewers react to rescheduling requests in genuine situations like this?
