Brown spots with yellow Halo on calathea makoyana?

Hello guys!!! This is my first calathea plant, I’ve had her for about two months now. But I’m noticing some of the leaves are not “praying” in the evening with the rest of them, and they have brown spots with yellowing around them. I’ve pruned some of the leaves that fully yellowed (last pic). In general, the rest of the plant seems to be doing well, it’s even growing three new leaves! And all new leaves look very nice and healthy.

Here’s my routine:

  1. I water her with distilled water about every 5 days (when I notice the soil is drying up) and it’s kept moist (but never muddy / soggy)
  2. I keep her near a humidifier in a well-aerated room (but not under any vents). The humidifier is small and only runs for about 3-5 hours everyday.
  3. I don’t think theres any spider mites or thrips. I inspected the leaves very carefully and see no webbing anywhere or suspicious specks underneath.
  4. I potted it in a 70% potting mix + 30% pearlite mix two months ago when I first got it. I haven’t had any issues until now, though I don’t know if a delayed shock could have happened from repotting.
  5. She’s about 4 feet away from a south facing window with opened blinds. My dad mistakenly put it near the windowsill for a day because he thought the calathea could use more light, but I quickly moved her back. I don’t really remember whether it had this same issue before that though. I feel like exposure to bright afternoon light for a few hours is the most likely suspect, but I just want to make sure I rule out everything else.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
