Switch from MD to DMD

Hello - I'm a third year med student who has struggled but improving (I failed my step 1 board), and as a result am delayed to graduate and potentially start residency. Without going into too much detail I was also accepted to Dental school this fall. I'd finish 2 years before I finish a residency (likely IM/EM/FM/Psych). Without debt being an issue (my md debt is low and my dmd program will grandfather me into the pre BBB rules), I'm debating on making the switch.

I'm wondering if dental school is as difficult as medical school and if life is better after school as well. In medicine all the ROAD specialties are essentially on-par/slightly worse than the dental lifestyle.

This is not admissions related or pre-dental related as I'm already accepted to a program
