Hey guys,

I've been using my Steam Deck for the last 6 months and I've been loving SteamOS, even in desktop mode and would like to build my own Steam Machine for fun. I have heard Bazzite is the best option when doing this.

My main question is regarding compatibility. I have a bunch of PC parts that are left over from old PC builds.. An Asus Strix 1070, an i7 8700k and an i7 6700k. 32GB of corsair DDR4 RGB ram and a few mobos. All from previous builds.

Would any of this work? From other subs, people are saying they may not be compatible.. This is not something I considered.. I don't know a whole lot about Linux and hardware compatibility?

Any advice?

Thanks!

Hey guys.. I plan to buy a Steam Machine on release but I've been thinking about building my own as well for fun.

I have some parts laying around. Asus Strix 1070, an i7 8700k and an i7 6700k. 32GB of corsair DDR4 RGB ram and a few mobos. All from previous builds.

What is the smallest possible case I could fit the 1070 in to make a small 'Steam Machine' type system for my living room?

Got a PS2 Slim last week from a flea market.. came with one game Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks. Went out today and found a local store and bought a few games to try out 😬 also bought my wife a PS2 and some games of her own.

I thought my enjoyment of PS2 when I was younger was just a nostalgic thing.. didn’t think I’d enjoy it as much now.. boy was I wrong. PS2 is the best.
