Large dorm suite

Hi! I’m an incoming freshman at GWU and I had a question about housing.

Is it possible to get a single room if you provide documentation from a psychologist? Has anyone gone through that process, and how likely is it to be approved?

and I also saw that some bigger rooms cost more then the others. If I decide to pay more will I still need to submit a documentation to DSS or can I choose whether I want to pay more or no. Or even can I choose when campus I want to live in? My parents keep pressuring me with these questions so much that I might actually need a documentation from a psychologist.

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I’m an incoming freshman at GWU and I’m a bit confused about class registration.

Has registration for fall classes already started for first-year students? If so, how does the process work? Do we choose our own classes through GWeb or are we pre-registered and then adjust later?

I’ve seen some mentions of orientation and academic advising, but I’m not sure when we actually get to pick our schedule.

Would really appreciate if someone could explain how it worked for you. Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I was admitted to GWU and already paid my deposit, but I still haven’t received my financial aid package. I submitted all the required documents a while ago, so I’m starting to get a bit worried, especially with decision deadlines coming up.

GWU is honestly my top choice, but I haven’t rejected my other acceptances yet because I’m still waiting to see what my aid will look like. My family income is under 100k USD, so I’m really hoping for solid need-based aid.

For those of you who got your packages, what kind of need-based aid did you receive? Was it generous or not really?

Any insight would really help right now. Thanks :)
