I am 7.5 months postpartum and haven't kept up my practice. I miss ashtanga, but I do not have 2 hours anymore, nor would I be able to concentrate on my breathing. My baby is a velcro baby, so I've reverted to some basic conditioning exercises that I can use him as a weight. I've lost strength and flexibility. I am hypermobile but can no longer straighten my arms in urdhva dhanurasana, whereas I was previously capable of chakra bandhasana. Mostly due to poor posture when lifting and rocking a baby.

Anyone get back into ashtanga after so long?

Postpartum mums, what does your practice look like?

We're staying at a hotel in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to work out how to safely cosleep. The hotel doesn't have a bedrail but does have a cot that he definitely will not sleep in.

My LO will be 7.5 m when we travel, he can roll both ways but currently can't crawl. Sleeps in a sleeping bag on his side (from nursing) or on his back. I nurse him to sleep multiple times so putting him in the middle will only work on one side.

I've read bedrails aren't actually safe until 18m. At home we have a bedside cot that he never used next to the bed in case he decided to roll. But it's never been an issue. Still I think I'd be a bit nervous to have nothing on the outside.

What's the safest option here, we are traveling by train so if I do use a bedrail it'll need to be portable.
