mid 2010s book about a girl named ever becoming a mermaid

i remember reading a book around ten or so years ago on my nook about a girl becoming a mermaid and her name was ever. there was some kind of ritual involving the moon and i think it was like a generational gift/curse passed through the women in the family. i have hazy memories of her mom not wanting her to choose to become a mermaid? that part i’m a little more unsure on. i think it was aimed towards a teen audience.

i don’t have access to the ereader or the b&n account it was on anymore to check. does this ring a bell for anyone?

25NB looking for some nerdy friends and maybe bandmates?

hellooo, i have been meaning to post this for months but i don't go onto reddit very often and would forget my own name if people didn't say it to me every day LMAO.

i'm a born and raised billings resident but don't have many friends, i'd love to reach out and make some more since i really only talk to my partner haha. if there's any fellow dnd players, crocheter/knitters, or peeps in the local scene in the same boat i'd love to chat! i do attend board game nights at dragon egg games on saturdays (when i have the brain power for it).

as for bandmates, i do know a couple people in the local music scene but i'd love some more people to go to local shows with and maybe some people to even start a band with? i listen to all kinds of music and sing, play guitar, piano, and a couple others from when i was a youngin. just spitballin here, but thought i may as well put a foot in the door even if it is online lmao!
