Has anyone got an old mine cut (or other antique cut) and regretted it?

I’m on the process of designing my 10 year wedding anniversary upgrade and can’t decide if I want to go with OMC or modified brilliant cut. I’m mostly worried I’ll be underwhelmed by the OMC’s subtle sparkle.

Hi! I’m so torn on going with an oval or elongated cushion. It will be about 2.5-3 carats. My biggest concerns are the stone quality. I want maximum sparkle and no bow ties. I’m partial to brilliant cuts. I was leaning towards oval but it looks like there’s a lot of variation of quality and bow tie effect even if the IGI report looks great.

I’d like to work with a rep who does a great job helping source/pick out a diamond. I was looking into working with Lgg, StarsGem, or Tianyu. Any advice is greatly appreciated!! This decision fatigue is getting the best of me 😅

I bought this lab diamond as an upgrade from my moissanite, and I’m surprised how much I still love my moissanite. I just love the fire and brilliance that brilliant cut moissys give! I thought this was a fun comparison to share with yall.

Moissanite specs: 1.36 carat equivalent, 1.35 ratio. Colorless. Brilliant cut. Set in 10k yellow gold. From Diamond Rensu.

Lab Diamond specs: 2.04 carats, 1.35 ratio. Modified brilliant cut (crushed ice). Color F VVS2 set in 14k yellow gold. From Provence.

Just received my custom ring from Provence, and I LOVE the way the design turned out, but the stone itself looks smaller on my finger than I thought it would. This is a 2.07 carat elongated cushion lab diamond, size 6 finger. It was ment to be an upgrade from my 1.36 carat equivalent moissy, but they honestly look so similar in size. Does it look proportionate? Or should I opt for something slightly bigger? I hate to have to redo this whole process all over.

Hi!! I’m wanting to buy a SS band to pair with my 14k gold engagement ring. I just can’t afford a 14k band right now. I’m worried about the silver damaging my ring. Does anyone mix the two and can tell me how they hold up? I would plan on doing white gold plated silver. Pictures would be amazing too! Thanks!
