For those focused on PI what kind of jobs are people getting after graduation from UVA? What is the PI culture/resources like here?

Admitted student trying to decide, I know people ask questions like this a lot but I am having a hard time imagining myself living in Charlottesville after going to school in LA. I like the town and it’s really cute but I see it getting small pretty quickly. Any current students coming from LA or another larger city have any insight?
Got in off the uva waitlist a few days ago (originally my dream school) after depositing at ucla last month. Ucla gave me a good amount more of money but money is not a deciding factor for me luckily.
Visited Charlottesville and I really do like it, but it definitely feels small. Super conflicted because I know uva is a better school but I am worried about being bored in Charlottesville after having gone to ucla the last four years for undergrad. I love my friends and my life there and it’s so much fun, and while I want something new it is really hard to let go of what I have there. I also like the safety of having a large city and people from outside of law school to keep me entertained. I know that doesn’t matter as much in the grand scheme of things but quality of life is a really big factor for me.
However, I don’t know where I want to practice in the future— interested in east coast but might want to go back to west coast, just not dead set on la (but also not saying never). I also want to go into PI and I’m pretty set on that (Public Defender or ACLU type work) and I know they both have good pi outcomes but I believe UVA is marginally better.
If anyone (especially those at either school) have any input I’d really appreciate it! I don’t have long to make a decision and am very torn.
