My severance was promised by May 4th, I only accepted termination because the severance was so attractive, now it’s May 6th, I was told a ticket was entered with pay in 2-4 business days. But considering it was a signed agreement I feel violated and less so betrayed (I’ve come to expect this sort of bs) I’m considering legal action but has anyone else been here? Did Amazon settle or fight until you were bled dry?

This is the maximum extent of urban defections from the Roman republic in their darkest hour of the second Punic war, obviously the beneventum hinterland was overrun and ravaged at times but the cities in blue were the only ones in campania which defected
Obviously incomplete, but still very comprehensive, notice the triballi, atintanes, Odrysae and Maedi are really the only tribes with continuity in this period
I am very familiar with ancient history, I know of 3 possible ancestors for the Kurds and I’d like to know which you all consider as your ancestors.
Corduene/gordyene?
Cyrtii tribe?
Cadusii?
Thank you!
Following the destruction of the royal army of Syria in the Zagrus mountains by the Parthians. The former king of Syria, Demetrius II made his way home where his ex wife still ruled with her sons by Demetrius and his brother Antiochus who had died on campaign, Demetrius audaciously attempted to invade Egypt in 128 BC in a period of significant dynastic strife in the house of Ptolemy. As a result the ptolemies backed a pretender, Alexander Zabinas who eventually defeated Demetrius who was betrayed by his wife and his men. Zabinas consolidated control over most of Syria from Ascalon in Paralia to Tarsus, however Demetrius’ son, Antiochus Grypus would go on to defeat Zabinas and restore unity to the Syrian realm. In this period Aradus, Judea and Tyre asserted their independence. Antiochus grypus half brother in exile would go on to make a bid for the throne further damaging the legitimacy of what was once that greatest power in Western Asia.

Amidst the second Punic war, Philip V of macedon started a war fought primarily in Illyria and southern Greece, it was a slog for nearly all parties except the Roman’s who committed as few resources as possible to the conflict, relying more on their allies to do the heavy lifting, while Philip temporarily controlled nearly all of Roman Illyria at one point or another, he eventually made peace with the Roman’s in the treaty of Phoenice, ceding his conquests of dimale, Lissus and the Parthini tribe while retaining the atintanes, perhaps the only territory the Roman’s ever ceded to a rival kingdom in the entire period 250-100 BC
This map shows the Seleucid empire after the deaths of Antiochus IV Epiphanes, his son Antiochus V and his regent Lysias. The throne was usurped by the rightful heir Demetrius I, simultaneously a fierce guerrilla conflict was raging in judea and the governor of the upper satrapies, timarchus had declared independence and named himself king of Babylon. Meanwhile mesene, under its governor remained loyal to the Seleucids
