What’s your delivery vehicle ? And what’s your strategy?
I used to do deliveries on an e-bike, and I’d usually accept orders between £3.00–£5.00. Anything higher than that often didn’t feel worth it.
Recently, I switched to a 125cc scooter, and my strategy changed—I started aiming for £6–£7+ orders. But I’m starting to realise that these higher-paying orders often take me really far out (basically middle of nowhere), and even though it’s less physically tiring than cycling, the time it takes to travel there and then get back to a busy restaurant area makes it less efficient overall.
So now I’m questioning whether those bigger orders are actually better, or if they just look better on the surface.
What’s your strategy—would you go for fewer long-distance, higher-paying orders, or stick with more frequent, shorter, lower-paying ones?
