Over an hour from Raimondi Park deep into the South Bay, I go and run some errands while rocking a brand new fitted dark green B’s hat (they restocked online). First stop I go inside and place an order for food, as I’m doing this I hear “nice hat.” I turn around and this person is wearing the same B’s hat! Both had big smiles on our faces and shortly leave with my food. So that made my day already. About 30 seconds away I make another stop and go inside. I go in and look to my left and it’s another person wearing the SAME Ballers hat. I of course had to let him know there’s now three Ballers hats within a half mile.
Even an hour+ away from Raimondi I got a nice reminder that Oakland baseball is here to stay. We’re just getting started.
Ballers announced on Twitter yesterday that Matsuoka has been released, which was a bit of a surprise to me given that camp is starting soon…

HUGE congrats to Tyler Davis, RHP and infielder from the 2024 B’s on getting the call up to the White Sox!
Tyler threw 7 innings and had 3 AB’s for Oakland before getting signed to the White Sox and pitching in Low A, High A, and AAA in 2024. He had just a 3.17 ERA in 41 games out of the bullpen for AA Birmingham last season, before starting the year in AAA Charlotte this season. Tyler pitched in 6 games in AAA this year before getting the call up today to the show
