Hello, I hope this is the right place to ask. I want to get advice on hiring a photographer for a first birthday photoshoot, and what’s appropriate to request.
First, I’d like to mention I had a photoshoot for my first child and the theme was lemons, the previous photographer did an outstanding job especially having a lemonade stand as a prop. She no longer runs that business, so I’m unable to go to her. Now, my second child’s theme has been strawberries and I thought it would be cute to have a strawberry stand. But I know I’ll need to find another photographer, and I’m not sure if they’ll have props to set that up.
Would it be appropriate to ask for a setup when I’m looking for photographers in my area? There are a few that are known to take first birthday photos and there’s some who are trying to build a portfolio. So I’m making sure to look for ones who are comfortable with having babies as a client.
I just want to let it be known that I don’t have expectations of everyone doing the same thing as another photographer, and that everyone has their own unique setup. And I’m sure it would be rude to show them an example from someone else’s work.
I just want to be able to do it right when it comes to being a client, and not to offend anyone. Also, I’m not asking about purchasing. Just wanted to know how to word something nicely and avoiding anything that comes off as rude or picky.
So my husband and I reserved three nights at a commons condominium with our baby and toddler, at first everything seemed nice. First, there was a missing bed sheet for one bed, it had the wrong size and the host never replied when we requested a new properly sized fitted sheet. Then when we checked the fridge it wasn’t cleaned out, there was a leftover sandwich and someone’s IVF vial. We’re thinking that this place wasn’t properly cleaned, especially finding hairs in the bathtub. Then my toddler’s foot was bleeding and she showed me where she got hurt, and I found broken glass on the floor. When I used a wet paper towel to pick it up and to clean the blood off the floor, it was black due to how dirty it was.
I’m very upset, this is the first problem we’ve ever had with any Airbnbs we’ve stayed at, should we just request a new room? Or cancel our stay?
I’m so glad I went out, everything was a total of $2.50. Two of the 24 pack had few of the same colors, including one discontinued crayon, and all three were dated in 1997. The 64 pack was dated in 1990 and came with three discontinued colors and one renamed crayon. I was especially excited when I saw the Thistle crayon. I really like how gold and copper look so different, and I just wanted to show off my favorite color, Indigo.
I recently thrifted a men’s button down shirt that’s 100% silk. I really wish I inspected it more before purchasing and removing the tags. Even after washing it I kept finding more stains including the armpit area, and I know that nobody wants a shirt with those kind of stains. It’s more noticeable when the shirt is inside out but you can still see some on the front and back of the shirt. I got excited when I saw that it was silk so that’s on me for overlooking any flaws. Even if I price it low would someone still want this?
Is it okay if I packaged items with one or two stickers? Or is it not worth it?
I found a website that showed the picture of the tag stating it was from the 80s, but couldn’t find more info online. Especially with the second tag, I couldn’t find anything similar including the misspelling of machine. Is this truly vintage?
So far I found that the tag “For New Aspects” was around in the 80s and 90s, but I haven’t been able to find this item anywhere online.
I want to sell clothes online, some of my thrifted items have strong fragrances and I want to get rid of the stains and smell, so my concern is what’s the best remedy to wash them? I was thinking of using non fragrance detergent and baking soda, but I wanted to get another opinion.
The next thing is about getting rid of smells off clothes, if I’m unable to wash it out is it okay if I mention it when I list them?
If I thrifted a clothing item that still has tags, can I mention New With Tags? I would think that it isn’t considered new because it was at the thrift store and possibly worn.
