Solar Generator and LiFePo4 setup

Hi All,

I am curious about this simple setup.. Will be in Campervan for led lighting and phone/tablet charging and maybe a couple hours laptop usage for a movie night. Might add a small RV fridge once I get Solar

I purchased Bluetti AC2A 300W Solar Generator and a RVPOZWER 12.8V 100AH LiFePo4 Battery. Ordered but not yet received.

Using the Bluetti, can I simply plug the battery into the DC/PV input?

Then for shore power charging, can I simply plug in the Bluetti to 120V and will it also charge the external battery?  Or do I need to connect the charger to the battery and let that charge the Bluetti?

Also when attaching solar (maybe a single 100W panel), do I get a separate charge controller to connect to the battery and it will then flow to the Bluetti? Or do I plug the panels into the bluetti and grab a 12V from the bluetti to connect the battery. Or is there perhaps a Y Cable (unsure of connection type on DC/PV connector)?

It seems to me like any of the options would work, are there any issues I should look out for or am I totally off track?

Building a new picket fence

Hello everyone,

I am getting ready to build a new picket fence. I have full 4 quarter rough cut 1x10 to make the pickets. The city says 24" high in a corner lot for solid fence, pickets can go higher depending in the visibility.

I decided on 3 inch wide pickets 28 inches long spaced every 3 inches. I am thinking I will do a 5'post leaving 26" above grade. 2 Rail style with lower rail about 12 inches off the ground with top rail along the top of the posts. Attaching the pickets 2 inches above the ground leaving the fence about 30 inches tall.

Posts will be simply tamped into the ground 34 inches deep with no concrete.

Does this sound like it will work OK?

Also the material is Port orford (?) Cedar so the ground contact will be treated with the green stuff and after a year I will stain and seal the fence, then again every 2-3 years with a new spray coat, hoping to reach 15 or maybe 20 years.

Question about 12V Lead Acid

I have been chasing a dead battery for a year now. If I don't drive my 2002 Tundra every couple days the battery goes dead. Battery was new 2022

I went out there today after driving it last week and it's dead again. Tested the voltage and it said 6V. After sitting disconnected for about 15 min it says 7.2 V

I put it on my pulse charger and it's reporting 20% but charging as normal so far (1 hour)

So far I have not identified any voltage draw from the truck other than the aftermarket radio. I have even been unplugging the backup cam to avoid the low power monitor draw (should be negligible anyway).

Any ideas? could the battery be dead?

Once it's charged I can run through the fuses checking for draw...

I will also let the battery sit for a few days to see if it drains while disconnected.

I have a 2016 Transit 148 mid roof Passenger Wagon.

I will be doing a no-build for this year and make plans for next winter full build.

It has all the interior trim and uninsulated floor.

since there is no insulation anywhere I do plan on sound dampening the walls and insulating walls as much as possible and floor with a simply closed cell covering (not a snow chaser - Will have heater)

By question at this point is when I remove the plastic wall coverings, will I be able to re-use the plastics (trimming as needed for minimal connection points)? or Should I plan on rebuilding the interior and not using the plastics?

I don't plan on tearing it apart until I build so any insights are greatly appreciated.
