So im the typical Anime noob whos first real Anime infatuation was KNY.

I originally was of the mindset that watching in Japanese is dumb and unnecessary if there is an English version available

I watched KNY all the way thru in English. Infinity in theatres included. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Then a couple days after Infinity in theatres, I bootlegged it online and Japanese was all that was available.

Ended up giving it a try, and MAN! Its night and day tbh

Tanjiro has so much more aura!! Shinobu was amazing. Doma. Man i can go on and on. The subtleties are what makes it. So much more emotional weight to the voices.

Cause I didnt know that the English VAs have to do a lot of "matching" the Japanese VAs voice inflections, they gotta keep in mind how long it takes to say it because of animation timings, music etc. All the nuance. Can make it sound kinda corny

I just didnt know

But now I see why there is such a big discussion of "dub or sub".

I think I'll watch the rest of animes in Japanese now.

Gotta say tho I think Inosuke is better in English. He still tough in Japanese but I think him being such a comedic character does work better in my native tongue. Still absolutely love that man tho lol

But bruh Tanjiro is night and day lol. He sounds so weak in English. And straight aura in Japanese.

Either way I just wanted to share my experience. English is still fire but id reccomend ya giving Japanese a chance if ya haven't yet! Cheers

Edit. Oh ya. Muzan in Japanese is WAY better. Like the character himself and how the Japanese VAs literally say the word "Muzan". Imo ofc

For me I workout in morning and game at night, when I can, so im usually not that wired.

But on Saturday I'll take some high stim shi and go to the gym. Come back still wired to the gills. Feels insane ngl lol. Absolute beams on all over the map. I guess that's how them mfs who take Addy to play feel all the time. Wild
