Starting a taper today

Greetings everyone, started a taper today. (8 years of use, 20GP, jumped to 14 GPD)

Although it’s only 10 minutes into my taper I’ve got to say…..it feels great to at least be on the right path.

In addition to the actual taper, there’s other things I plan on doing as well: becoming a more active member of the quitting community, journaling daily, being more mindful of the content I consume online, being more spiritual/prayerful and becoming more goal oriented in life.

Essentially, the idea is to start being the person I’ve always imagined myself being off kratom.

Anyway, good luck out there everyone and stay strong!

I’ve seen “stats” (mainly defense) mentioned often here.

While they can provide a high level overview of someone’s playstyle, they’re mostly meaningless.

Here’s why I say this:

  1. No one knows exactly how the stats are calculated. We have some ideas based off the descriptions….but no one is truly sure. This alone is reason enough not to take them seriously.

  2. Some pro players have “low” defense stats….including ones that have either won or placed top 8 in major tournaments. Recently Ikari won EVO Japan yet his “defense” stat online is 65.

  3. Similar to #2 but a GoD3 player with 65 defense doesn’t in reality have worse defense than a Rajin with 98 defense.

  4. There are more ways to defend than blocking and sidestepping. Example: Punch sabakis, character specific evasive movement (Feng, Ling), parries, spacing/keep out, hard reads/yomi.

  5. A higher rate of blocking isn’t necessary a good thing. Getting pushed into a corner and being forced to block for your life constantly means that you’re not taking control of momentum.

  6. If a player with high defense loses to a player with low defense, it’s the losing player that really needed to improve their defense in the match

Over 40 and it’s difficult for me to obtain illicit substances.

I took a bit of Molly at a bachelor party 6 months ago and it was the first time in a long time I felt my depression and anxiety lift.

Obviously things like Molly aren’t a long term solution…but it would be nice to have a couple hours of peace every few months or so.

Saw a Facebook ad for 5MABD.

Seems too good to be true…..what exactly are the risks with something like that?
