[BR] Is it possible that my payment went into another account?

So, I'm a freelance illustrator and I do commissions for people from various countries. Last Saturday I received a payment through Revolut for the first time. I had never used Revolut before, so when the client sent me the payment, I clicked on the option to send it to my bank account. I filled in the correct information, with my name and account number, but when I tried to find my bank's 'bic', Google gave me several different ones. The codes were based on regions, so I entered the bic that was closest to my city since I couldn't find that information through my bank's app.
However, three days have passed and the payment still hasn't arrived, neither in my Revolut account (opened after I accepted the order) nor in my original bank account where I entered the information.
Do you know if it's possible that this payment went to someone else's account, even though I wrote my name on it? Could they deliver it to an account that doesn't have the name of the account holder that was put on the form?
