I have nerve damage. what is the best thing for the nerve pain? Anyone know?

I unfortunately did get the side affect of numbness of the lip, chin, gums, etc on my lower left.
Anyone know anything for the nerve pain?
I was given some strong pain meds and Advil for the first 6 days, but nothing is hitting the pain. Anyone have any tips?
